昨天的餐會結果...

感恩一：大四學生很有學姊風範，應變能力強，帶領學弟妹有很棒的氣氛！

感恩二：吃飯時，人數達到30人，而且只有三個學生因為練啦啦與考試先離開！

感恩三：氣氛從頭到尾都很好（回應表最多回硬的就是氣氛很好，很溫馨）

感恩四：在回應表上，幾乎所有的人都回應願意繼續來，並且願意邀請朋友來

感恩五：目標設定是希望能夠開啟約談福音的機會，而回家的路上，
惠敏已經約到兩個人了！

感恩六：團契弟兄姊妹的場佈實在太贊！令人驚艷！默默的，兩個人就完成了
大部分的行政工作！

感恩七：食物解決，不用帶回來！

這個星期四我們有一個福音餐會，
在燕巢校區，
請為我們禱告。

目前最需要的，
應該就是食物的控制，
配合價錢預算的掌握，
還有當中一切的活動，
與信息的分享。

至於【消滅脂肪大作戰】的續篇，
請各位看倌稍安勿躁，
我一定惠在這個聚會結束之後，
好好讓大家知道後續結果囉！

Don't give up.....

This afternoon,
I knocked four doors in GaoShi's dom,
and two rooms were empty, another three reply in cold face!
And before that, I knocked 15+ doors without good responces in Gaoke's dom!

I felt a little upset,
and when I came back to my home,
I got this article from a friend.

One day I decided to quit...
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I asked, "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...

"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.
I gave them light. I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.

"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.
But I would not quit.

In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would
not quit." He said.

"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared
to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6
months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."

He asked me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots".
"I would not quit on the bamboo.
I will never quit on you."
"Don't compare yourself to others." He said.

"The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern.
Yet they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me.
"You will rise high"
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest and brought back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
Never, Never, Never Give up.
For the Christian Prayer is not an option but an opportunity.
Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is,
tell the problem how Great the Lord is!

消滅脂肪大作戰

楔子

八月，酷暑下旬，恆春小鎮西五里，
來自印尼、挪威、美國、台灣的奇妙組合，
在南台灣的豔陽下共度美好的十天光陰！

是因為參與人員來自世界各地？
是因為場地本來屬乎宣教團體？
是因為敬虔師父廚藝實在多元？
總之，每一天餐餐總有驚喜！

或許是壓力太大，
或許是餐太好吃，
或許是分享開心，
總之，每一餐來去總是兩盤！

想當然，日復一日，
短短一旬，
竟然讓八年來因為體重過輕而不能捐血的我再次挽袖。

時速三十

實在太久沒有上來更新自己的部落格，
跟大家說聲抱歉～

今天是颱風柯羅莎在台灣東海漫步的日子，
昨晚上網就有看到一些關於停班停課的消息，
但因為昨天是我工作最忙碌，疲憊的一天，
沒有多看也沒有多想，
十點左右，沒洗澡也就上床睡了。
今天早上靈修的時候也非常的安息平靜。

八點左右，同工電話打來，
X：阿，請問今天還有審核嗎？
B：有啊！
X：喔，好。
也不覺得有什麼問題。

八點多一點，學生打電話來，
Q：請問今天有審核嗎？
B：有啊！
Q：這裡風很大，可以有人來接嗎？
B：好
開始覺得，是不是該放颱風假？

再一個人打電話來詢問的時候，
B：喔，因為反應太慢，所以審核沒有取消！

總之，到了我八點半出門，
才親身體會到颱風的威力。

騎乘小50的我，
因為穿著雨衣，當瞬間陣風襲來，
簡直像個降落傘一樣的，
隨著強風左右搖擺。
不是機車左右搖擺，
是整個摩托車被風吹到路中央，
或是人行道！
有時甚至為了不至於被風吹走，
只好時速20以下甚至停住，
讓自己保持在安全的範圍中騎乘！

這一次，真的知道為什麼要放颱風假了。
回來行經三多路，
看見滿地不知道哪裡吹來的碎玻璃，
只有一個念頭，
以後絕對不能讓學生與同工冒生命的危險！
